British winner of £87m jackpot comes forward
A BRITISH ticket-holder has come forward to claim Friday’s £87 million EuroMillions jackpot.
The lucky winner will take home £87,570,000 – the seventh-biggest jackpot win in the UK – when the claim is validated, Camelot said.
The ticket-holder can then decide whether to go public. The winning numbers were 17, 35, 39, 47 and 50, along with the lucky stars 6 and 8.
The last jackpot of this size to be won by a British punter was £93.4 million in June 2015. The UK EuroMillions record was £161 million won in 2011.
Camelot spokesman Andy Carter said: ‘It’s great that the ticket-holder has come forward to claim their amazing prize. We look forward to supporting the seventh-biggest lottery winner in the UK as they celebrate their lifechanging win.’
Six ticket-holders, including two from the UK, each won the second prize of £200,047 in Friday’s draw.
