Noye could go to open prison
ROAD rage killer Kenneth Noye could soon be back on the streets after the Parole Board recommended he be moved to an open prison.
The 70-year-old, pictured, is serving a life sentence for the 1996 murder of Stephen Cameron on the M25 in Kent. Noye was jailed in 2000 after stabbing the 21-year-old in a row over his girlfriend’s driving.
But the career criminal could now be transferred from closed HMP Wayland in Norfolk to an open regime within months – and even let out on day release.
Last night, Mr Cameron’s family condemned the recommendation. His father Ken said: ‘I don’t believe for a minute he has changed his ways.’
The Parole Board confirmed it has ‘recommended’ that Noye – once jailed for conspiring to handle gold from the 1983 £26million Brink’s-Mat heist – is suitable for a transfer. The decision now lies with Justice Secretary David Lidington.
