main attraction everywhere last week was an internet video of a chap called Simon Smith getting hit by a bus in Reading. Like Chumbawamba, he got knocked down, got up again and wandered into the nearest pub. An eye-witness called the incident ‘outrageous’ and ‘alarming’. Mr Smith was described as ‘courageous’ and ‘charming’. he suffered no ill-effects and said he may go out tomorrow if he can borrow a coat to wear. Last night, however, there was still no news on the condition of his amazing dancing bear.
