Grandpa Ringo’s all- Starrs

-

Is Ringo Starr secretly starting a new group?

His daughter Lee Starkey tells me her seven-year-old triplets have been receiving lessons from their Beatles drummer grandfather, 76.

‘They’re all taking after dad in the music department,’ Lee, 46, says at a party in London’s West End. ‘They started learning a couple of years ago. Jakamo’s doing drums, Smokey’s doing drums and guitar, and ruby’s doing piano.’

Lee, whose mother was ringo’s first wife, maureen Tigrett, adds: ‘I can imagine them forming a band when they’re older. Dad gave them their first lessons.’

They sound perfect for ITV talent contest The Voice Kids.
