SCI-FI STORY Colony, 9pm, Sky 1

DON’T worry if you missed season one of this lowkey alien invasion drama, starring Lost’s Josh Holloway (pictured). Season two starts with a flashback to the day the aliens arrived — placing a wall around LA in a jaw-dropping moment — so it’s a good place to start. If you do want more, season one is on Netflix.

TEXAN TALE Hap And Leonard, 9pm, AMC

IN A drama shot through with worldweary wit, James Purefoy and Michael Kenneth Williams play two men at the bottom of the pecking order in rural Eighties Texas. Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks (pictured) co-stars as Hap’s (Purefoy) refoy) tempting ex, who sashays into their lives with a way to make ‘easy’ money. (Sky 192, BT TV 332)

FREEVIEW FILM Point Break, 9pm, Spike

GIVE the recent remake a wide berth and head back to Kathryn Bigelow’s original adrenaline-pumped cult heist movie. Keanu Reeves stars as a rookie FBI agent who goes undercover to infiltrate a gang of surfers who rob banks so that they are free to ride the waves. Patrick Swayze is the gang’s charismati­c leader. MURDER CASE Criminal Minds, 10pm, Pick

DEAN CAIN, of Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman, plays an angry-looking gambler whose ‘luck is going to turn around’ in this week’s episode as the BAU head to Atlantic City to investigat­e a murder. Let’s hope the case is an easyy one, as the team aren’t quite firing on all cylinders — Garcia has a massive hangover.

BEDTIME BLUES The Secrets Of Sleep, 10pm, More4

ESTHER became particular­ly alarmed by her sleepwalki­ng — which began when she was five — after she awoke to find she had moved her son between rooms in her sleep. Also iin this hi final fil episode, there is hope for mum Yvette, whose narcolepsy and constant exhaustion have had a terribly sad emotional impact.

FRENCH DRAMA The Measure Of A Man, 10pm, Sky Premiere

PIERCING social drama starring Vincent Lindon as a middle-aged man who is let go from his job. When he finds new work, it comes with strings that test his sense of fairness.

BRENDAN GLEESON and Michael Fassbender power this small-scale tale of a son trying to escape his dad’s criminal ways.
