Guardiola leaves £100m of talent off City’s US tour

- by MIKE KEEGAN

Pep GUARdIOLA will leave more than £100million worth of talent at home when Manchester City fly to the US this month.

Sportsmail understands that when City’s squad go on their pre- season trip five players, including Joe hart, will not be with them.

Wilfried Bony, a £28m signing, eliaquim Mangala (£ 40m), Samir Nasri (£24m) and Jason denayer, valued at around £10m, are the others who are not expected to travel.

Goalkeeper hart spent last season on loan at torino and has accepted that his future lies elsewhere. however, with Claudio Bravo on a break after the Confederations Cup, youngster Angus Gunn on loan at Norwich and Willy Caballero now with Chelsea, he may have expected to join the trip.

But barring a last- minute change of heart, Guardiola will turn to his youth team to provide goalkeeping back-up for new signing ederson.

hart, 30, has been linked with loan moves to West ham and Newcastle but he and City want a permanent move.

Nasri has also been deemed surplus to requirements. As revealed by Sportsmail last week, City fear that they may be unable to sell the Frenchman, who was at Sevilla last season, while he is under investigation over an alleged breach of antidoping rules. Bony and Mangala spent last season out on loan and both are set to leave permanently, while denayer may head out on loan again.
