- BY KIERAN GILL

HANDY MANDY

FOUR-AND-A-HALF months pregnant Mandy Minella and doubles partner Anastasija Sevastova (right) lost in straight sets — three days after Minella lost 6-1, 6-1 in the singles. Prize money of £40,375 will pay for a fair few nappies.

BERRY HEAVY LOAD

TIME for some strawberry statistics. There will be 28,000kg consumed over the two weeks here, with 10,000 litres of cream. The strawberries are picked at 4am, collected from the packing plant at 9am, then delivered to SW19 before 11am.

BREEZE FOR GAEL

LESS than an hour before beating Kyle Edmund on Centre Court, Frenchman Gael Monfils was seen walking through the crowds, largely unnoticed. The world No 14 wasn’t hounded for any autographs or selfies.

FALLING STAR

JUAN Martin Del Potro’s match was interrupted for 20 minutes when two people fainted in the heat on Court No 3. Del Potro went on to be shocked by world No 589 Ernests Gulbis.

SAME OLD PAT

PAT CASH (left) has been donning his iconic chequered headband on the practice courts. The 1987 champion is coaching American Coco Vandeweghe, who beat Tatjana Maria yesterday.

THANKS, ROGER

IT was a busy day for Stefanos Tsitsipas. At 11am he practised with Novak Djokovic. Then at 1pm, he helped out his hero Roger Federer. The 18-year-old Greek posted this proud snap (left) on Twitter.
