Don’t touch? But I’m the vice president!

-

As the second most powerful man in the United states, you might expect him to know better.

But when confronted by a piece of space flight hardware clearly labelled ‘Do Not Touch’ at Nasa’s Kennedy space Centre, Mike Pence clearly thought the rules did not apply to him.

Despite the sign, the vice president (above) reached out and put his hand on the hardware from the Orion spacecraft.

Mr Pence was at the Florida centre to see progress in constructing a Nasa spaceship for deep space and privately built capsules to send astronauts to low-Earth orbit in the coming years.

He told Nasa staff: ‘Our nation will return to the Moon, and we will put American boots on the face of Mars.’
