ANDERSON’S LANDMARK SIX

- LAWRENCE BOOTH AT LORD’S STUART BROAD’S unbeaten 57 off 47 balls was his first Test fifty in 65 innings stretching back to his 65 at Trent Bridge against Australia in 2013. That was the innings in which he infamously edged Ashton Agar to slip via the wick

IT HAS taken Jimmy Anderson 123 Tests, but he has finally hit a seam bowler for six, launching Kagiso Rabada over square leg during his score of 12. His two previous sixes came off spinners — South African Paul Harris at Centurion in 2009-10, and Pakistan off- spinner Saeed Ajmal in Dubai in 2011-12. Moeen Ali ticked off two Test milestones in a day, reaching 2,000 runs in the morning and claiming his 100th wicket after lunch. It took him 38 Tests to achieve the double, the second-quickest England all-rounder after Tony Greig’s 37.
