School manager’s online rant at ‘rat-faced’ woman Tory MP
A SCHOOL behaviour manager faces an investigation for making ‘disgusting’ online comments about a female Tory MP, it was revealed yesterday.
Tim Healey called Antoinette Sandbach a ‘hideous, fat, ugly, creeping, selfish rat-faced t***’, claiming she was part of a ‘dirty, corrupt government only in it for yourselves’.
He looks after disruptive pupils at Hounsdown School in Totton, Hampshire, which was rated outstanding by Ofsted this year.
Mr Healey made the comments – which have since been deleted – on Miss Sandbach’s public Facebook page under his own name.
It comes after Tory MP Sheryll Murray revealed swastikas had been carved into her campaign posters. She appeared to accuse Labour supporters of being behind it.
At PMQs, she took aim at a phrase used by Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, saying her experience was ‘hardly kinder, gentler politics’.
Miss Sandbach wrote online on June 29: ‘This disgusting post was put on my Facebook today and is an
example of the “kinder politics” Sheryll Murray referred to in her PM Question this week. It will be reported to police as I understand the individual involved may work with children. Abuse like this will always be reported by me. It would not be tolerated in any workplace.’
The MP for Eddisbury, Cheshire, wrote: ‘Far-Right threats to my office by Britain First were reported to police who didn’t act until Jo Cox was killed. Some MPs check the criminal records of every person attending their offices because of the levels of abuse and threats of violence.
‘That is unacceptable. I hope by showing I am serious it will stop others, but if it doesn’t I will report it.’
She later said she would not back prosecution as he had apologised, The Mail on Sunday reported. A friend of Mr Healey wrote on her Facebook page: ‘He is aware that this behaviour is totally unac- ceptable, and has brought shame on himself and his family.’
Mr Healey said the issue was being dealt with by Hounsdown School, which confirmed it was aware of the matter. Police said they were not investigating.
On Saturday ex-shadow home secretary Yvette Cooper condemned abuse directed at Labour MP Luciana Berger, who has been targeted by supporters of Mr Corbyn over her criticism of him.
