At £55,000, a car that’s fit for a Queen

-

THE QUEEN’S former personal car is going under the hammer.

The custom-built vehicle was driven by Her Majesty for six years before it was retired from service in 2007, and has just 15,400 miles on the clock.

As well as boasting security lights and a top speed of 149mph, it comes complete with an extendable handbag tray.

The Daimler Majestic 4.0 LWB is expected to go for between £45,000 to £55,000 at auction with H&H Classics at the Imperial War Museum in Duxford, Cambridgeshire, on July 26.

Damian Jones of H&H Classics said: ‘Royal cars do come to the market from time to time, but fairly infrequently.’
