Yet another boss at TalkTalk quits

-

TALKTALK has announced plans to replace its chief financial officer Iain Torrens.

The telecoms company said he would be succeeded by Kate Ferry, director of investor relations and corporate affairs at electricals retailer Dixons Carphone.

It is the latest in a series of changes made by executive chairman Sir Charles Dunstone, who took over running the firm in May when former boss Dido Harding quit.

With Tristia Harrison having taken over as chief executive since then, Torrens’s departure means there will effectively be a new top team.

The 48-year-old joined TalkTalk in 2015 and was in the role as the company grappled with the massive data breach in October that year, when hackers accessed information about nearly 160,000 TalkTalk customers.

The date of Torrens’s departure has not yet been announced.

Ferry has been with Dixons Carphone for seven years and was previously a retail analyst at Merrill Lynch and an audit manager at PwC.
