- By KIERAN GILL

Who’s up next for Murray?

american right- hander Sam Querrey is no 28 in the world, though his career high was 17 in 2011. He has nine career titles to his name and, at 6ft 6in, the 29-year-old is three inches taller than Murray.

Wimbledon pedigree?

Querrey shocked two-time defending champion novak Djokovic in the third round at SW19 last year after the Serb had won 30 consecutive Grand Slam matches. He reached the quarterfinals, where he was beaten by Canadian Milos Raonic. that remains Querrey’s greatest Grand Slam result in singles.

What are his strengths?

Querrey has an accurate serve and has hit 99 aces so far at Wimbledon. His fast- est serve of the tournament so far is 137mph. Querrey likes to be aggressive with a strong forehand so doesn’t tend to stay in rallies for too long.

What are his weaknesses?

His movement has been criticised, so Murray will want to try to exploit that.

Has he faced Murray before?

they have met eight times, with Murray winning on seven occasions. the latest was at the australian open in January when the Scot won in straight sets. they met at Wimbledon seven years ago in another straight-sets win for Murray. the world no 1’s one loss was in Los angeles in 2010.

What does Querrey have to say about Murray?

asked yesterday, Querrey said: ‘It’s going to be tough. He’s playing at a high level and he’s defending champion. He loves playing here and the crowd is going to be behind him. But sometimes it’s fun to play when the crowd is behind the other player 100 per cent.’
