Labour MP in row over Uber
THE Labour business spokesman’s view was criticised by her own deputy last night after she said she boycotted Uber taxis.
Rebecca Long-Bailey said: ‘I don’t feel it’s morally acceptable … I don’t like the way they are exploiting their workers.’ But her deputy Chi Onwurah said Uber helped women travelling at night as the app tracks their taxi.
Sam Bowman of think-tank the Adam Smith Institute said Miss Long-Bailey was ‘out of touch’.
Uber said its drivers ‘make money on their own terms’.
