Make bills fair, water firms told

WATER companies have been warned by the regulator to provide customers with better service.

Ofwat says it wants to see a ‘ step change’ in efficiency and wants suppliers to deliver bills that are ‘affordable for all’. Households in England and Wales are being charged an average £395 a year for water and sewerage. This is a £6 rise on the previous year as companies invest in tackling leaks and flooding.
