Exit SamCam’s sister as new Vogue editor has a (timely) detox

-

THE MASS exodus of posh girls at Vogue has left a toxic atmosphere at the fashion magazine’s HQ in Hanover Square, but its new editor-in-chief is determined to make a clean start.

Edward Enninful, who succeeds Alexandra Shulman this autumn, has joined his new contributing editor Kate Moss at her favourite detox centre in Turkey.

Edward, 45, spent five days at the £ 400- a- night LifeCo centre in Bodrum with ex-model Sadie Frost, Sadie’s boyfriend Darren Strowger, nutritionist Rosemary Ferguson and Moss, who took this snap of the happy gathering.

The detox programme entails eliminating alcohol, caffeine, sugar, meat and dairy from one’s diet, while participating in daily meditation and yoga.

Sadie shared a picture of one of their meals online — a dish of cauliflower, cashew, pepper and tomatoes — under which Kate’s boyfriend Count Nikolai von Bismarck, who did not join them, commented: ‘Doesn’t look too bad at all!’

Pity Kate’s previous visits were not as wholesome as the retreat’s nutrient-dense menu. On returning two years ago from the LifeCo resort, Kate, 43, was thrown off an easyJet flight for swigging vodka from her cabin luggage after being refused alcohol, prompting her to call the pilot a ‘basic b****’.

Meanwhile, Vogue’s outgoing deputy editor Emily Sheffield was clearing her desk in London after announcing she was leaving after ten years. Posting this picture (inset) of herself online, the 44-year-old sister of Samantha Cameron admitted: ‘Desk was never very tidy.’

As one fashionista lamented, Vogue without posh girls is like tonic without gin.
