Out of the mouths of babes

SOME years ago, I brought back a large seashell from my holidays. I told my four-yearold nephew that if he put it to his ear, he would be able to hear the sea, as people often say about these types of large shells. He tried it, and said: ‘Yes, I can — and I can hear a helicopter as well.’
