Satellite choice
DIVING World Championships, 10am, Eurosport 2
TOM DALEY will be hoping to make up for his less than stellar performance at the Rio Olympics here in Budapest. He’ll be joined by British Olympic winners Jack Laugher and Chris Mears.
TEST CRICKET England v South Africa, 10am, Sky Sports 2
AFTER their 211-run victory at Lord’s, England have named an unchanged eleven for Trent Bridge, where the hosts haven’t lost a Test since 2007, with six wins and a draw. A Roses T20 game between Lancashire and Yorkshire follows the close of play at 6.45pm.
MOCKUMENTARY MOVIE Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, 12.30pm, 8pm, Sky Premiere
ENJOYABLE spoof of talentspotted, stage-managed pop. Andy Samberg is the singer trying to keep his career afloat through its many peaks and troughs.
COUNTRY DIVA Nashville, 9pm, Sky Living
THE new season of this country music drama rolls on with a ‘ten weeks later’ time jump, and Juliette is taking centre stage. So, how has her gospel album gone down with the critics? One of the kinder quotes is ‘strange and inappropriate’. Surely, her fans will rally round and support her? Hmm . . .
BAND BEHAVIOUR Tales From The Tour Bus: Rock ’n’ Roll On The Road, 9pm, BBC4
RICK WAKEMAN, who is rarely more than 5ft away from a BBC4 music documentary, figures strongly in this collection of amusing reminiscences about rockers entertaining themselves on the road, in between gigs. Peter Hook and Suzi Quatro have tales to tell, too.
FILM DRAMA To The Bone, Netflix
NETFLIX’S most interesting film to date feels like a dialled-down Girl, Interrupted. Lily Collins (pictured) plays an anorexic teen who moves into an unusual group- therapy home run by a gruff doctor (Keanu Reeves). The result is a deft tapestry of doom and hope, with slivers of dark humour.
MAN V NATURE Sons Of Winter, 9pm, Quest
CHILDREN flying the nest for a flat in the big city is one thing, but children leaving to survive in the wilds of northern Canada is something else. In the first of a new series, which takes a while to get going, Dale and Shane leave the family cabin behind for the challenges of the wild — and the
wild does not disappoint.
GLAMOUR GIRL Anna Nicole, 10pm, Sony Channel
THE life of Anna Nicole Smith is dramatised in dreamlike style by director Mary Harron (American Psycho). Obviously, there is no happy ending here, but the nuanced cast makes the story more than engaging, with Agnes Bruckner as Anna (pictured).
