Heathrow delays
A MILESTOnE in Heathrow Airport’s expansion has been delayed due to the general election, Transport Secretary Chris Grayling revealed yesterday.
Steps that would have been taken in late 2017 – including the publication of the final Airports national Policy Statement (nPS) setting out the Government’s position, and a Commons vote – will not happen until ‘the first half of 2018,’ the Department for Transport said.
A Heathrow spokesman said last night: ‘We’re getting on with our plans, and look forward to Parliament voting in support of a final nPS.’
