TECH investor Mercia invested £2m in a leading virtual reality gaming firm.

The firm, which buys stakes in UK tech start-ups, put up the money as part of a £2.7m funding round in nDreams, which will use it to release new games, including one called Bloody Zombies.

Mercia has now invested £7.1m in nDreams, equivalent to a 45.6pc stake.

NDreams has released titles for smartphones, PCs and games consoles. Mercia shares were flat at 34.62p.
