WIGAN Warriors captain Sean O’Loughlin’s 400th appearance for the club ended in disappointment last night. Wigan were edged out by their local rivals Warrington Wolves, who won 16-10 at the DW Stadium with Ben Currie scoring a crucial try in the 56th minute. O’Loughlin (right) looked to have helped set up a Wigan win in the 20th minute when he saw an opening and put Thomas Leuluai in the clear with a brilliant pass. Leuluai then offloaded to enable John Bateman to go over. With the conversion the score was 10-4 to Wigan after an early try by Oliver Gildart was matched by Warrington’s Benjamin Jullien. But Warrington hit back through tries by Ryan Atkins and Currie and two Stefan Ratchford penalties to ruin O’Loughlin’s night.
