How Left-wing staff brainwash pupils to hate Tories, by poster boy for teaching

- By Eleanor Harding Education Correspondent

CHILDREN are being ‘indoctrinated’ to see the Tories as ‘evil’ in the classroom, according to a teacher who was the Government’s poster boy for school recruitment.

that Calvin schools Robinson, are ‘training’31, warnedpupils into ‘a Lefty way of thinking’ throughout their entire school career because of the ‘ biased’ views of many teachers.

He said it was ‘no surprise’ most young people voted in favour of remaining in the European Union as they had been ‘groomed’ to vote this way from a young age.

And he revealed that he was told by bosses at one of his previous schools not to mention the referendum because it might upset pupils from other countries.

Mr Robinson has been seen by millions on posters, and in newspaper adverts and internet promotions as the star of the Department for Education’s ‘I chose to teach’ campaign. While he says his current school, St Mary’s and St John’s in Hendon, North-West London, where he is head of computer science, is not political in any way, he has been shocked by teacher behaviour in other schools. And he said it could mean an even bigger swing in favour of Labour in future general elections as today’s children reach voting age. ‘It has become more overt since the referendum and that is because a lot of teachers are Left-wing and very upset and bitter about the results,’ Mr Robinson told the Daily Mail yesterday. ‘They should either be apolitical or neutral.

‘I’m concerned about the effect it is having on young minds. That is the definition of brainwashing, when all that they hear and all they see is that Right wing equals bad, Left wing equals good. It amounts to indoctrination – that’s why it is so upsetting.’ His comments come after he wrote a blog for the Conservatives for Liberty website in the wake of the EU referendum about his concerns over Left-wing bias in schools. ‘Pretty much throughout their entire educational career, young people are being trained into a Lefty way of thinking,’ Mr Robinson wrote. ‘I’ve seen this on too many occasions and it leaves me constantly concerned.’ He said that while some teachers were overtly political, many others convey their bias in more subtle ways. ‘Some of the behaviour I’ve seen from teachers is outright disgusting – a very evident bias not only in their teaching practices, but in the way they

present their arguments,’ he said.the biases obvious‘ I’mof “Labournot party talking= politicalGood, about Tory = Evil”, although that does happen, but most teachers take a less obvious approach along the lines of tolerance being a good thing, so long as you agree with their way of thinking.’ Mr Robinson, the youth officer for the Hampstead and Kilburn Conservative Association, has been selected to stand at next year’s elections for Camden Council in NorthWest London. He said that one headmaster locally had recently encouraged parents to come out with their families to protest against the Tories. And at a previous school, he had ‘personally been discouraged’ from discussing Brexit as a Leave supporter, while

The head teachers involved were accused of trying to sway the election during the sensitive purdah period by warning of the ‘dreadful state’ of education funding under Theresa May. One letter urged parents to sign a petition set up by the Left-wing National Union of Teachers. It also emerged that in Morecambe, Lancashire, Siobhan Collingwood, a hardLeft head teacher known as ‘Red Siobhan’, allegedly ran a campaign to oust Tory MP David Norris at the election.
