Mexico wall ‘should be see-through’

DONALD Trump has said he wants the border wall between the US and Mexico to be see-through to avoid being hit by ‘large sacks of drugs’ that are thrown over it.

On the Air Force One flight to Paris for yesterday’s Bastille celebrations, the US president told reporters: ‘When they throw large sacks of drugs over, and if you have people on the other side of the wall, you don’t see them – they hit you on the head with 60 pounds of stuff? It’s over. As crazy as that sounds, you need transparency through that wall.’

Mr Trump also said he was serious about plans to install solar panels on the wall.

He then spoke about his recent meeting with Vladimir Putin. He said he twice asked the Russian president whether he meddled in last year’s US election and did everything he could to get the truth out of Mr Putin short of a ‘fistfight’.
