Clarifications & corrections
A LEADER article on July 14 about new ambulance guidelines suggested that longer response times would apply in cases of ‘cardiac arrest’. As the news article accurately reported, we are happy to clarify that, while longer response times will apply to victims of suspected heart attacks, patients whose heart or breathing stops will continue to receive the most urgent response.
