Eek! Sophie’s unwelcome mouse guest
SUPERMODEL Sophie Dahl is plagued by the pitter-patter of tiny feet during the night — and it’s not her 5ft 4in pianist husband, Jamie Cullum, going walkabout.
They belong to a glis glis, or edible dormouse, that Sophie discovered in her kitchen cupboard at the home she shares with Cullum and their two young daughters in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire.
The alarmed 39-year- old granddaughter of novelist Roald Dahl wailed: ‘When life has thrown every possible eventuality at you over seven days, you learn of this fellow, chilling in the cupboard where the cleaning supplies live — he who is responsible for a lot of late-night clanking.’
She added: ‘I may take up smoking again. Urban life is suddenly quite appealing.’
