Credit cards cut

BaNKS are cutting interest-free credit card deals following concerns over Britain’s debt mountain. lloyds Bank has cut the 0 pc balance transfer deal on its MasterCard from 33 months to 32 months, MBNa has cut the 0 pc balance transfer period on its Platinum card from 42 months to 41 months, and Halifax has reduced the 0 pc period on its balance transfer MasterCard from 12 months to just three months.
