Slaves to Europe

LORd Adonis can’t see that the reason we must leave the eU is because we have been appeasing the various european institutions ever since we joined. We have slavishly obeyed their diktats, while other members ignore the ones they don’t like. Was france punished when it illegally banned British beef?

Thank goodness the eU did not offer any concessions to david Cameron before the referendum. They would have wriggled out of them, just as they did with all the half-promises made to Tony Blair when he surrendered a large part of our rebate.

The eU is a strong force for peace in europe and Britain’s mistaken departure can only jeopardise that.

We should instead reprimand those who are spreading fear, hostility and suspicion.
