A bold Kate shows some daring baring

MUCH discussion about the Duchess of Cambridge revealing her shoulders — shriek — in Germany this week. Her red Alexander McQueen dress looked fashionable, comfortable and cool, even if it was rather off-the-shoulder saucy. Following on from last week’s pink plunge-front gown at the Spanish state banquet, does this herald a new era of daring baring for the Duchess? I can’t recall her ever being so bold before. Wills and Kate were at a garden party at the British Ambassador’s residence in Berlin, held to celebrate the Queen’s birthday. With the kids safely strapped down in a nursery somewhere, Kate had the kind of Vulcan grip on her glass of champagne that all mothers of young children will recognise. Is Prince George going to play up again tomorrow? Right now, I don’t care. Gulp, gulp, glug.
