The coy drugs boss
ASTRAZENECA’S boss played down rumours he is planning to leave for an Israeli rival – telling staff he plans to work ‘together’ to see the company succeed.
In an internal memo dated July 16, the drug giant’s chief executive Pascal Soriot did not confirm or deny reports he had accepted a job with Israel’s Teva Pharmaceutical Industries. But he said rumours were ‘part of everyday business’. Astra would not comment.
The 58-year- old indicated he was still committed to driving the firm forward, saying: ‘Together, we are poised to achieve something remarkable.’
