EMBRACE your inner child this season as a fashion welcomes the back the polka-dot. From Balenciaga’s coin-sized spot-adorne gowns to Oscar de la Renta’s polka-dot sequin earrings, the playful print was given ahighthe-fashion makeover on the Paris catwalks and has now filtered down to the High Street to become one of summer’s most popular trends. One note of caution though: don’t overdo it. Try a dotty blouse with a cropped trouser. Or, give a nod to the Sixties with a spotty clutch bag or pair of block heels. If you keep that in mind, you can’t go wrong if you go dots for spots.
