Target voter fraud

-

POSTAL votes should only be allowed for a genuine reason. My first vote was a postal vote because, age 21, I was in the maternity home.

My father visited and his first words were ‘I’ve brought your postal vote’ before he commented on his first grandchild!

I also wonder if we should revert to a voting age of 21. It was dropped to 18 in an era when most teenagers had left school and were expected to make their own way in life instead of being treated as juveniles until their 20s, as are many of our young people today. P. ELLISON-REED, Glossop, Derbys. WHY isn’t there a national database of voters? Names could be checked at the polling station via a laptop computer with details updated every minute. This would certainly stop electoral fraud.
