Earn their salary
HAVE any of the BBC’s best paid presenters earned more for the Corporation than they have cost the licence-payer?
David Attenborough and Michael Palin must have shifted a lot of BBC books and DVDs while the various Doctor Whos surely have paid for themselves in all the merchandise sold worldwide.
If a star has generated more income for the BBC than they have cost it, then their high salary might be justified, but if not, they should be replaced with an unknown talent on a sensible wage. I watch most programmes because of the content, not because of the presenter.
