The inexorable march of ‘ trans’ rights continues to gather pace. equalities minister Justine Greening has announced that in future anyone will be entitled to choose any gender they want, no questions asked.
Is this really one of the burning issues which prompted record numbers of people to vote Conservative in June — the right of men to use ladies’ toilets and changing rooms simply by ‘identifying’ as a woman?
Those of us who accept that a minuscule number of people suffer from gender dysphoria, and deserve understanding and NhS treatment, still think constantly appeasing this gobby minority within a minority is madness.

Where’s it all going to end? Last week — in a bizarre story to be filed under Call Me Old Fashioned — a clearly disturbed woman who wore a fake penis to have consensual sex with another woman she met on the internet was jailed for six years for sexual assault.
Why didn’t she just claim she was exercising her right to identify as a man? Case dismissed.
The ‘trans’ trend has even spread to the Middle east, where a number of Izal terrorists have been caught trying to flee dressed as women. The beards gave them away.
Their mugshots reminded me of that Condoleezza Wurst creature who won the eurovision song contest a couple of years ago.
