£700k Vine’s latest earner

JeReMY VIne hopes to top up his £700,000-plus BBC salary with a new book published in September, titled What I Learnt: What My Listeners Say — and Why We Should Take notice.

The Radio 2 presenter will reveal: ‘What it’s like to hit a button and hear — totally unvarnished and unspun — the voices of so- called ordinary people.’

perhaps Vine will find a chapter to include ex-miner Harry Jones who called in last week to ask if he was ‘ embarrassed’ about being so ‘grossly overpaid’?
