BARDSLEY ON HIS WAY TO TURF MOOR

-

BURNLEY sealed a £2million move last night for defender Phil Bardsley, who joins on a two-year deal from Stoke City. The 32-year-old former Manchester United full-back made just 16 appearances for Stoke last season. Manager Sean Dyche is still in the market for a winger, a defender and a third-choice goalkeeper. He said: ‘We’ve got some good business done early, which is very difficult.’ HUDDERSFIELD TOWN have made an enquiry for Nuremberg midfielder Abdelhamid Sabiri. The 20-year-old scored five goals in nine games in the league last season. However, Nuremberg sporting director Andreas Bornemann said: ‘We have made it clear we don’t want to lose Sabiri.’ CHELSEA forward Izzy Brown has joined Brighton on loan. The move comes after the 20-year-old agreed a new contract with Chelsea that ties him to the club until 2021. Meanwhile, Brighton midfielder Oliver Norwood has passed his medical ahead of a loan move to Fulham. SUNDERLAND are holding talks over a loan move for Bournemouth’s Lewis Grabban. Bournemouth expect the 29-year-old to make the move and Grabban is in Sunderland for talks with manager Simon Grayson. The deal is expected to be confirmed today.
