Shauna Higgin

-

HIGGIN and Victoria Johnson were jailed last year after a court heard they ‘tortured’ therapy dolls given to dementia and Alzheimer’s sufferers in their care at Ashbourne House nursing home in Middleton, Greater Manchester.

The victims believed the dolls were real babies, and Higgin, then 20, and Johnson, 23, hung them by their necks, put them in a washing machine and in a pot on a stove, and threw them on the floor shouting ‘die baby, die’. Each admitted two counts of ill-treating or wilfully neglecting residents in their care. Higgin was sent to a youth detention centre for 13 months, while Johnson was jailed for 12 months.
