BBC road rager goes to ground
FERGUS BEELEY, Sir David Attenborough’s former producer, has pulled out of a talk at the Royal geographical Society entitled ‘Mindfulness In Nature’ following a road-rage incident in which he advised a family to ‘get ready to die’.
The fate of another of Beeley’s commitments — ‘nature retreats’ advertised by Pride of Britain Hotels — is unknown.
These, said its website before the page’s removal, are ‘Fergus’s response to recent research that humans need nature for good health and wellbeing . . . breathing and listening are also of utmost importance throughout.’
The retreats also offer ‘ silent meditation on Climping Beach’ and a ‘ 25- minute indulgent massage’. Essential after a blast of Beeley.
