STAFF CUTS

Embattled commodities trader Noble Group is cutting around 500 staff and selling key parts of the business.

The troubled firm has launched a massive scaleback amid crisis talks with lenders – and warned of losses of up to £1.4bn.

The firm plans to cut staff from 900 to 400 and will keep selling assets over the next two years to make up to £800m.
