DMGT revenue boost

THe Daily Mail and The Mail on sunday increased their hold over the UK newspaper market in the three months to June 30.

In its results for the quarter, the Daily Mail & general Trust said the Daily Mail’s market share grew to 23.3pc compared to 22.8pc this time last year, while The Mail on sunday’s share rose to 22.2pc from 21.8pc in 2016. excluding snapchat and Facebook users, DMgT’s website Mail online saw average global monthly users rise 2pc yearon-year to 232m while daily browsers rose 6pc to 15.3m.

online ad revenues increased by 28pc, or £6m, offsetting a slight decline in print advertisin­g revenues.

The firm left its outlook for the full year unchanged.
