Rightmove profit boost

PROPeRTY website Rightmove boasted profit rises as its rivals faltered.

Profits were up 9pc to £87.5m in the six months to June 30 while its online traffic was also up 3pc to almost 132m visits per month. The news sent shares in the company up 0.5pc, or 18p, to 4298p.

The company’s results came after fellow estate agents Countrywide and Foxtons both posted profit slumps this week.
