Hunt for girl, 5, and her father

AN INTERNATIONAL manhunt is continuing for a father who jumped bail and fled with his five-year-old daughter.

Brian Owens, 26, absconded with daughter Molly (both pictured) and friend, Elaine Doutch, 31, on Friday. They are believed to have travelled to Ireland.

Owens’ family say he has since been ‘in contact’ with detectives, but last night the trio were still on the run.

Police said they remain concerned for Molly’s safety and have appealed for her safe return.

A warrant for Owens’ arrest was issued on Friday after he failed to appear for sentencing before magistrates.

Owens, of Holyhead, Anglesey, had been convicted of three counts of assault by beating and one count of sending a threatening message to his former partner and Molly’s mother.
