TOM WESTLEY was the first England No 3 to get a half-century on Test debut since Owais Shah (right) hit 88 in 2006. Only four others have done so since the Second World War: Jack Russell (as nightwatchman in 1988), David Steele (1975), Mike Denness (1969) and Peter May (1951).
