Thought Theresa’s been looking glum? Meet Misery Merkel!
THEY might be on opposite sides of the Brexit talks, but it seems Theresa May and Angela Merkel do have one thing in common – a fondness for walking holidays.
But the German Chancellor appeared a bit glum when she was spotted with husband Joachim Sauer on a chair lift in Italy yesterday. The couple were pictured in the town of Solda, in the eastern Alps, clutching two walking poles and wearing fleeces and hiking boots.
It comes a week after the Prime Minister and her husband Philip, who have previously spoken of how they enjoy hiking holidays, headed to Italy’s Lake Garda for their summer break.
