Carney’s calamity

-

I HAVE long believed the Governor of the Bank of England, Mark Carney, has got it wrong on interest rates.

Personal debt has never been so high. Combine this with a decade of risibly low interest rates, and it’s no wonder the country is in such a precarious situation.

I can’t believe how many selfish and greedy people want it all and want it now. In the past, if you didn’t have the cash, you didn’t get the goods.

Nowadays, just flash the credit card and to hell with the consequences. I’m sorry, but I have little sympathy for a lot of the people who are up to their necks in debt.
