documentary maker who lifted the lid on Vogue’s delicate egos is hoping to chart its new era under Edward Enninful, who started as editor yesterday. ‘I don’t know if they will let me back in,’ admits Richard Macer, whose films portrayed bust-ups between then editor-inchief Alexandra Shulman and her U.S. counterpart, Anna Wintour. Shulman said ‘some quite uncomplimentary things about me’, Macer adds. ‘When she published her diaries she sent me a copy with a note saying “This is the real story.”’
