IS THIS THE MAN?

- Norman J. Myson, Burnham-on Crouch, Essex.

The Truth Fairy sat at the foot of his bed, Glaring in disbelief. Is this the man who tells all those lies? That causes us such grief? Is this the man who convinced the young Higher education’s free? Is this the man who tells us all He’s grown a money tree? Is this the man who salutes all those Who shoot our soldiers down? Is this the man who shows no respect For our Queen who wears the crown? Is this the man who likes to say ‘I’m with you in the street’? But with wealth well beyond their means, Is part of the rich elite? Is this the man whose hypocrisy’s An affront to all we hold dear? A man who will welcome our enemies, Laugh with them and cheer? The Truth Fairy looks at him with a Profound feeling of disgust. Knowing all those things he’s said Will all just turn to dust. He wakes him up by shaking him And looks him in the eye. ‘Mr Corbyn,’ he quietly says to him. ‘You have to stop this lie.’ Corbyn stares right back at him And smirks at his fairy guest. ‘Don’t be so silly,’ he says in reply, ‘It’s what the Left does best.’
