WINSTON C on the gallops and he seems to be progressing well. He was suited by the step up to a mile and a half last time, the distance of the Better Odds With Matchbook Betting Exchange Handicap, and he still looks to be at the right end of the handicap. Ribchester will be favourite for the feature race, the Sussex Stakes, a race in which he was third last year. He’s a top-class miler but all his wins have come on galloping tracks.
