Bust-up at Prodigy star’s pub
WHEN I disclosed that Keith Flint, the ‘twisted firestarter’ behind dance band The Prodigy, had been spotted riding out with his local hunt, he was hailed the most unlikely of tweedy converts.
But his rural lifestyle has come to a horrible end. Wild-eyed Flint, 48, known for his reverse Mohawk hairstyle as much as the music that delighted ravers, has shut the 18th-century pub he ran in Essex, after what locals say was a violent altercation with a regular.
‘There was a dreadful fight involving Keith,’ a witness tells me. ‘The pub shut immediately afterwards and never reopened.’ Flint, whose hits include Smack My B**** Up, declines to comment.
