IT’S bad enough that BT’s rural deal could add £20 to all broadband bills (Mail), but that’s if you can get a service in the first place.

I moved into a new-build flat in December, only to find there is no phone line or broadband.

BT/Openreach has continued to say it is laying cables, but my neighbours and I are still waiting.

Has it not occurred to them this might be on account of the superincre­ased cost?

I’m quite happy with copper wire providing me with a download speed of 10Mbps as I have only one computer and one smart TV.

Unfortunat­ely, there are many who can’t get near the minimum 10Mbps, a pledge that seems to have been rejected, withdrawn, forgotten or abandoned. J. LUXON, Weston-super-Mare, Somerset.
