... while silent Corbyn enjoys sun in Croatia
HE snubbed an invitation to the Passchendaele commemorations and still hasn’t broken his silence on the spiralling crisis in Venezuela.
But at least Jeremy Corbyn is enjoying his holiday.
The 6 -year-old was spotted strolling through Dubrovnik in Croatia, formerly part of Communist republic Yugoslavia.
Though he had, thankfully, opted not to wear a tight-fitting lycra ensemble for his cycling holiday, the Labour leader still revealed his legs in a pair of baggy green shorts.
He matched them with a shortsleeved white shirt that revealed something of a late-life paunch, and a practical red and grey rucksack. His feet are obscured in the photograph taken by fellow British tourists, so it’s unknown if he was wearing his favoured combination of socks and sandals.
Mr Corbyn has come under fire from his own MPs after remaining silent about the situation in Venezuela. The Labour leader, who championed Venezuela as a socialist paradise for years, said nothing as the regime launched its violent crackdown on opponents.
Hardline president Nicolas Maduro, who has described Mr Corbyn as a ‘friend of Venezuela’, has sparked mass protests in recent days as he attempts to tighten his grip on power.
